External Committees
1. Legal and Technical Committee
The objective of the Committee is to advise the Board and its Executive Committee in the successful pursuance of the Institute’s objectives in terms of all the legislative and technical issues affecting members of the IRFA.
2. Retirement Funds Audit Committee
The role of the Audit Committee is to drive all matters that relate to retirement fund audits as thought leaders, policy drivers and best practices champions for the ultimate benefit of all retirement fund stakeholders and the further development of the retirement fund industry throughout Africa.

1. Governance Committee
Governance Committee educate and provide support to other committees, where possible, in relation to governance aspects and structural legal development (in consultation with other committees of the IRFA).
The Committee views itself as more of a support and training, identification and monitoring team with regards to most of the operational and technical application of the governance standards. Where applicable, the Committee participates in the facilitation and organisation of workshops and presentations at grass-root level (stakeholder premises), training session, working groups, etc.
2. Transformation and Sustainability Committee
One of the primary roles of the IRFA is to drive all matters that relate to the retirement fund industry’s transformation and sustainability. The way this can be done is as thought leaders, policy drivers and best practices champions for the ultimate benefit of all retirement fund stakeholders and the further development of the retirement fund industry throughout Africa. The Transformation & Sustainability Committee (the "") is tasked with providing support to the Board of the IRFA to achieve these objectives.
